Updates to Emails

We’ve changed the email system to send emails to you as newsletter@peakviewbsa.org. Even more, you can now reply to the newsletter emails directly, which will send an email to cubmaster@peakviewbsa.org.

2018 Day Camp – BUGS

Fri, June 15, 2018 @ 9:00 AM – 4:30 PM
WHERE: Lyons LDS Church Building (200 2nd Avenue, Lyons, CO)

WHO: MV District Cub Scout Tigers, Wolves, Bears, & Webelos (Pack Walking Guides/Volunteers Required)

ACTIVITIES: Different stations each day! Learn all about BUGS—See, sound, and act like a bug!
Shooting Sports (BB, Archery, Wrist Rockets), Hike, Cool Crafts, Special Guests, and much, much more . . .

BRING: Sack lunch, water bottle, hat, sunscreen, closed toe shoes, and a 🙂

REGISTRATION: Open April 14 – May 13.
We will cover the $55 per Scout fee. T-shirt sizes will be guaranteed if registered and paid by May 15, and we must register as a pack. So please get us your registration forms by Sunday, May 13.

To Register your Scout, fill out Form C and Health Forms A & B (If we don’t already have a Health Form from Klondike)

VOLUNTEER: We need volunteers! Parents, Leaders and siblings (14 yrs), please consider volunteering! To register as a volunteer, fill out Form V and/or Form W for walking guides, and Health Forms A & B

All forms must be turned in to your Cubmaster (Ruben Kackstaetter), or Committee Chair (Karen Olson).

2018 DAYCAMP FORMS GUIDE

Form C — Cub Scout Registration Form:
thumbnail of Cub-Scout-Registration-Form-2018This form is the individual registration form for each Cub Scout attending Day Camp. This is where t-shirt sizes are chosen. Parents may also mark on this form if they prefer their Scout to NOT participate in BB shooting or Archery.Please write checks to your ward using a tithing slip, under “other” and write “Cub Scout Day Camp”

Your registration is not complete without a copy of the completed current Annual BSA Health and Medical Record, Part A and B form with copies of the insurance cards attached to this registration.

Form V — Volunteer Registration Form:
thumbnail of Volunteer-Registration-Form-2018This form is for all volunteers for Day Camp. This would include station helpers, set up help, and break down help. (NOT walking guides – Use Form W). All volunteers must be 14 or older or an Order of the Arrow (OA) member. You will also need to fill out Health Forms A and B.

Form W — Adult Walking Guide Registration Form:
thumbnail of Adult-Registration-Form-2018This form is for all adult volunteers that will be walking guides during the Day Camp. Each adult must fill out a form and attach a current copy of their BSA Youth Protection Certificate and BSA Health Form part A and B.

Youth Protection training can be viewed / taken at my.scouting.org, takes approximately 20 minutes and is valid for one year.

Form P — Pack Registration Form:
thumbnail of Pack-Registration-Form-2018This form will be filled out by your pack leaders. It is a summary of boys in your pack who are paid and registered, along with names of adult volunteers. Turn this form in to the Scout office with the individual registration forms for each boy and their BSA Health Form part A and B before May 31. The address to the Scout Office in Louisville is listed at the bottom of this form.

Camp Coordinator, please bring one check with payment for your entire pack. (Have your ward clerk cut one check made payable to “Longs Peak Council.”)

Health Form A & B — Annual BSA Health and Medical Records:
thumbnail of BSA-Anual-Health-Form-A-and-BThese forms are the individual health forms required for ALL participants in basic Scouting activities such as local tours and weekend camping trips less than 72 hours in duration. These forms must include a copy of an insurance card, and must be hand delivered.

If you already filled this form out for the Klondike, we can reuse it, and you don’t need to do it again.
